Veteran SEC official Ken Williamson has been permanently suspended from officiating conference games, sources tell Yellowhammer News.
The decision to remove the longtime referee comes in the immediate wake of an SEC review of eleven complaints against Williamson and his crew during the Auburn-Georgia game earlier this month. According to sources, nine of those

I'm shocked they actually got rid of him. He did what he was obviously paid to do. It isn't like this is the first (or last) blatantly fixed SEC game.
The replays from that game were hilarious.....and obvious.

Why is that publication the only one reporting it? Sounds more like a troll from the Bama side.

I probably should have waited until a more reputable outlet reported it.

In the last 24 hours, the ONLY news outlet reporting this is "yellowhammernews" so color me skeptical.
And please don't insult me by sayin "on3 reported as well".

It's all good. It was posted on the rant yesterday but no other publications have said the same thing yet.

Yellowhammer News is a satire website. They are reporting today AJ McCaron is running for Lt. Gov. of Alabama with his slogan, "I'l be Coach Tuberville's QB who helps pass his conservative, outsider agenda."

So he was terminated?

Who were the others on the crew?

If that's the case, then my apologies. I just assumed it was satire based on the news and the slogan.

I have no idea how it works, but the article, if true, only specifies conference games. Maybe his crew is still allowed to officiate non-conference games, bowl games, etc.

Looks like Sports Illustrated has picked up the story, so maybe there is some truth to it

Are they actually providing any real facts, or simply saying "reports from yellowhammernews say..."?

Y'all, the slogan is the satire. Not the possibility that he runs

I wish they had disciplined the replay official for the 2006 Auburn/LSU game. That still stands out as the worst officiated game I’ve ever seen.

I assumed it was satire because the SEC would never suspend an official or crew that blatantly fixed a game.
