Bigger fraud - Ben Simmons or Brian Kelly?

Ben Simmons has made over $200M in the NBA
Brooklyn Nets paid him a $39M buyout to get rid of him

He will go down as one of the players who wasted his talents. He could have been a HOF with his talent.

And he couldn’t care less.
Why should we?

Wish LSU had 50M + to buy out BK to get rid of him

Massive flaw for a primary ball handler.

Does he want to pay for BKs buyout?

You think every player comes into the NBA with a jump shot? Magic didn't and developed it. Lebron really didn't either but he developed a shot. Ben could have too but he didn't want to or care to. Which is why he was a waste of talent.
There are numerous players who come in and develop their game better. Ben was always an elite passer and defender but he would not and could not shoot which was infuriating.

And dated Kendall Jenner. I'd say he's fine with not playing currently.

Or he maximized his talents and other peoples projections were wrong. Maybe his ceiling was always a highly valuable defensive player who could also distribute the ball on offense.

But I have a thought and wonder what others think about it.
I noticed when Simmons was at LSU and then in the NBA that for most layups and dunks, he released the ball with his right hand. Even though he jumped off the correct foot for a left-handed release, which made it look off-balance.
But he shot jumpers and free throws (very poorly) with his left hand.
My question is - is Simmons actually right-handed and is that the cause of his poor shooting ability?

Developing a shot is about work. he chose to not put in the work thats not a projection problem. And he didn't need to develop a 3-point shot. He became scared to shoot or drive the ball because of that. It is fine to acknowledge he didn't put in the work to develop any type of jump shot.

Brian Kelly at least shows up.

It's possible that in the zeal to make him ambidextrous at an early age he just never developed a good shot with his primary hand.
Regardless, Simmons never seemed interested in developing a shot...even though it would have made him a dominant player if he did, even just a little bit. If you would watch him in warm ups at LSU he would shoot from the outside...and wasn't bad. Yet, in the games that was totally out of his comfort zone and he was happy being a one dimensional player

He was more comfortable with his left but he might have been a right handed shooter but that could have been something he worked on in the off-season. But he didn't. Which again is infuriating.

As of this morning, neither are Chauncey Billups or Terry Rozier.

He doesn't deserve a roster spot
