If BK loses 3 of the next 5 he's gone

I understand the buyout implications but I really think you're fooling yourself if you believe the program is going to sit around for years when the general feel of fans, boosters, public etc. is that this is turning into a sinking ship.
Boosters will be pissed if they have to pony up the money, and it probably means Scott loses his job too. But they will absolutely do it before watching the bottom fall out in year 4 and still have to dish out NIL money for a product they don't even believe in anymore.
Losing 3 of the next 5 will guarantee a mutiny. To which I think they pull the trigger. However, if we luck out a win against aggies or at Bama, I unfortunately think it allows BK to fire/hire some staff and at least start the next season.
$50MM plus staff plus new coach is an insane amount of money. But it's incomparable to the amount you'd lose from folks collectively giving up on the program until the BK era is done.

When he loses the next two, he’s gone. And it’s justified. You can’t wait until after the Oklahoma game to fire him.

Damn, haven’t heard this thought process before.

How soon do the fire Kelly chants start Saturday? Is it right after kickoff or as soon as the offense goes three and out on the first drive? Handoff up the middle, throw to the sideline for negative yards then Nuss throws an incomplete pass into triple coverage.

The only folks that matter are the small number of people who would be asked to contribute to fund the buyout. If they aren't on board, he's not being shown the door.
The "temperature" of the fan base doesn't matter much

I don't think they will fire him after this year. Cost too damn much.
HOWEVER, there is another possibility.
He loses more three games. What if he gets into his head the game has passed him by and he can't compete? Say I'm nearly 65, it's time maybe to retire.

Literally zero chance he is fired regardless of the final record … unlikely to be fired in 2026 either… 2027 is the time

There is a legit chance especially next year.

If he loses the rest of the sec games this season, his a$$ is fired or retired. They couldn't afford not to. It's not like the have to give the whole 52 mill now. Also, don't underestimate the impact of losing at home to A&M. Their fans are unbearable. My boss, who is a huge LSU booster in Houston will completely lose his shite if they get embarrassed at home this weekend. He hates A&M.

Don't forget the wasted timeout wedged in there somewhere

zero chance is too strong a statement.

You want to make a statement?
Do it when Kelly walks down the hill. Where he not only hears it but see's the faces of those booing.

It’s BK. He’ll split the next two and figure out a way to get to 9-3. Miss the playoffs but still keep people thinking next year is the year.
I don’t want to wish loses on the program but at this point it may be what’s needed to move on.

Not this time, schedule ,Sloan and Oline will not let us finish with only 3 losses ,likely not 4 ,probably 5 or worse
