That’s a solid round at Webb. I’ve heard rumblings they are thinking of redoing over half the greens!

That would be much needed. For the amount of traffic Webb gets there is no way they aren't profitable. Some new greens would make a big difference for sure.

This was talk from a marshall while our group waited to tee off there two weeks ago. Would be nice if BREC would be proactive rather than reactive.

I grew up playing at Webb.

It would be great if BREC took care of this treasure.

The greens are a joke for the money you pay. Some of them have green sand on them. And the tee boxes are pitiful. When it doesn’t rain for a few days, you almost have to hammer the tees in the ground.

As soon as BREC do the greens, expect to pay $60 a round out there.

I really enjoy Webb but the quality lately has gone down some.
Been spending most of my days at Santa Maria, cursing hole 5 and much of the back 9.

You pay for what you get.

I sliced one off the rail there back into play once

I hit a pull/hook so far left it landed on #7 over the pond. I got up and down for par.

I play solo most of the time. It is just too damned crowded all the time.

And what Webb really needs is to close for about a week and just let the greens and tee-boxes breathe, but I dont think that will happen.

Takes a perfect shot …. Danger left and right. The secret to this hole is to something no one wants to do- -

Lay up. Take less club. Aim for 20 yds in front of green…. Chip up for par or bogey and run. Take the triple out of play. Plenty of landing zone in front of green and the grass is always fluffy allowing for a good chip.

Update on Webb. The greens are as good as they can be right now. Very true and fast. Keep the ball below the hole to score. The perfect
Miss is just short of middle Of green.

They are slick as hell. There are only two greens not in good shape and the fairways are pretty nice. Webb is in as good of shape as it will ever be with the traffic it gets. Fun round.

Shame. I won’t be going back until they get rid of their beer nazi.

They aren't profitable because BREC takes all the money from the money courses and allocates them towards drug dealing zones (parks in NBR). Ever since they went with their equity based model, all of their courses started to suck.

I think the wrong word is being used here. All the courses are “profitable.” Simple math will tell you that together, all the courses make millions. But that money is in no way going back into the courses.
They treat the courses like “parks” and the money generated funds actual “parks”.
