Bragging thread - made a LSU themed leather belt for myself

Recently started a new hobby - leather-craft. Have been working on this LSU themed belt for myself since October 3rd. Finally completed it. Happy with the results.
Besides learning new cool leather crafting skills, one of the other main goals was to use all American products. Sourced everything from the USA. The leather is from a famous US tannery called Hermann Oaks. The white thread on the edge is from the only surviving US thread company called Maine Thread Company. The buckle is vintage circa 1978 and made in Los Angeles. Every dye and paint used is also US made. So are most of the tools that I have bought used from eBay in the last few months.

Maybe me wearing this will bring the good luck charm that we need to win out.
Will be wearing this when I am in Tuscaloosa for the game in three weeks!! That was actually the deadline I had set for this project, hence started working in early October.

Is your mom Kim Mulkey? She's the women's BB coach at Baylor

Pretty sweet, even from an opposing fan. You definitely have some skills there.
Between this and the guy digitally recreating Tulane Stadium, there's been some hobbies shared around here lately that make me want to get into something new

That is absolutely fantastic... I love that you so carefully sourced your supplies, materials and tools!
It's good work, too- you might could sell them if you keep it up!

I will just keep this as a hobby for now. Have a stressful job that pays well. In fact, one of the reasons of picking up this hobby was so that I can take my mind off of work, and it has been very helpful in that regard.

Great job. Make some for other teams and you’ll have yourself a little business
