This will be one of the craziest coaching searches of all time.

I still kind of want Chris Petersen. Two weeks ago I would have been fine with Baker as HC but how many times can you get beat by a running QB and learn nothing from it?

The thing I dont get is they seemed to have a plan for Sellers. Yes, I know SC has line issues but they always seemed to have someone spying him to keep from running wild. Against Chambliss and Pavia they acted like they had never seen a mobile QB before. Kind of dumfounded because Sellers is a better athlete and runner than both. Quicker and way more speed.

First, Kelly won’t be fired this year.
Kelly will be fired in 2026 season.
Second.. it won’t be a crazy coaching search but an extremely excruciating and painful search as there is little talent in the coaching ranks to steal.
Kiffin will be off the board after THIS college season.

The X factor in those cases should have been Perkins and let’s face it, he just isn’t “it”.The offensive scheme of opposing teams takes him out of the play and he also takes himself out of the play from lack of discipline, he did that multiple times yesterday.

Don’t want Baker as HC nor Petersen.
I think we need to start looking at this differently. I think what A&M did with Elko would be something LSU needs to do. Elko looks much older than he actually is but he’s only 48. Need to find a guy who is somewhat younger and hungry. The landscape of CFB has changed so much with NIL.
Kiffin is probably the only established coach off the top of my head we’d have a good shot at but I think if offered he’s going to take the Florida job. I know a lot of you on this board hate Kiffin but he has overachieved at Ole Mrs and there’s just almost no way to have any kind of sustainable success there. He just turned 50, not a young buck anymore but still definitely has every bit of 8-12 years of coaching in him.
Unfortunately, the timing won’t line up. He’ll take the Florida job and we’ll be sitting with our thumbs in our arse the next two years unless BK decides to just retire. Y’all can thumb your noses at A&M but I think they made a great hire. There are and will be younger guys to make a run at.
