Does anyone know how much revenue the program generates on an average year when we're competitive and ESPN likes us in the prime time slots compared to a below average year when we end up on the ESPN3 and no advertisement revenue coming in? Does anyone have figures on this and how much the program stands to lose perhaps not this year but next year for certain when this thing crashes and corporate sponsors flee?

TV revenue is shared equally between all teams. It does not matter how many primetime, or total appearances.

Forgot to add, bowl games are a bit different. LSU gets to keep their "bowl expenses" then the remainder hours to the SEC office for disbursement equally among the other teams.

In the end, it’s going to be more about the fans money that is put in. Fans need to stop putting money into this garbage. Let the players, coaches and selfish ADs deal with the mess they made. Will look nice when they are going bankrupt trying to pay players and ridiculous coaching contracts for a bunch of spoiled athletes and coaches.

More important things in this world than this garbage.

TV revenue is shared through the SEC, regardless of which slots you play in. It would impact merchandise sales and other peripheral revenue. Eventually, ticket sales.

Revenues would decline from ticket sales, and donations from boosters would drop. I don’t think tv would be hit hard.

The booster thing big. Lose that and there’s trouble.

Their share from the SEC package is the same as everyone else’s.

LSU doesn’t make much from the bowl revenue. The powers that be use the bowl game as a expense free payed vacation for their family and friends.Coaching staffs families, administration families,TAF,BOS,etc. If you don’t believe me go check it out.It has always been like that for every university.

From TV revenues, yes.

About $100M, but expenses are about the same. Football subsidizes others. The operating budget can’t afford the buyout. Revenue sharing will change this but not sure by how much.

Here is a valuation of top programs. Valuation is primarily based on revenue, assets, brand. Hate Woody all you want but we’re in the top 10. The problem we have is that half of the business community in NOLA are Bama and Ole Miss grads. So those Companies they own and run are supporting those schools.

Texas, $2.38 billion
Georgia, $1.92 billion
Ohio State, $1.9 billion
Notre Dame, $1.85 billion
Michigan, $1.83 billion
Alabama, $1.74 billion
Oklahoma, $1.49 billion
USC, $1.4 billion
Tennessee, $1.37 billion
LSU, $1.23 billion
