I think he underestimated how hard it is to win road games in the SEC.

He consistently loses on the road to teams that we have more talent than.

Because he’s past his prime and is not a good coach

He took the job thinking the innate nature of lsu football would gift him a Natty. His reasoning was:

If coaches like Miles and Ed can get a natty at lsu, surely I will to.

I truly think he expected the program itself would give him a natty, not the other way around

I believe that he hasn't been the same Coach since he postponed his Divorce.

He has been second guessing himself since.

He’s never been a good coach that’s why. Notre Dame has been better since he left.

BK, Jimbo, James Franklin era type of coach is almost gone.

You have to consistently innovate and adapt to current rules or else you’ll be left behind by everyone

Because the garunteed too much money to a washed up old dude who never had what is takes to coach at a high level..
He doesn't give one good damn if we win or lose...he's mailing it in.

His style is not connecting to the baws from da souf. He’s got no swag and fragile confidence. He’s an antique in today’s game. He fits at Nebraska or iowa

At this point…apathy. He’s getting paid whether he wins or loses. In fact, I’m sure the only thing that even keeps him coming in to the office is that they may be able to fire him for cause if he doesn’t.

BK has gone ROAD.

BK is disconnected. His staff is following his lead. They are relying on talent alone with no attempt to coach. The fact that you are 15 years behind in the quarterback position does not help.

He cares and wants to win. But, He's never been a good coach and is a prick on top of that. I knew he was a fraud when he was skull drug by Bama in the nc game.

This is a great question. Wish I knew, but one thing seems pretty clear; He's stubborn AF. It's like it's his life's mission to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Why not run hurry ups, jet sweeps, or any runs to the outside for that matter. Why not try full backs or a qb draw every now and then? How about a lot more misdirection plays?

Then, on the defensive side of the ball, you have studs all over the place in the secondary, so why not rush 5 every time straight up. Just keep running qbs in a cage. No stunts, which is what part of what got the d out of their gaps so often.

But, I don't get paid to coach, so I may be way off base, but they are paid millions to coach and still can't figure this shite out....even w/ that 18 million dollar roster.

100%. Entire era of coaches that aren’t suited for NIL world. You can’t coach speak your way to 10-2 or better seasons anymore.

His struggles are more tied to his style imo, very much politician like. Look at me, do as I say, etc. yet nothing to show for it

If he were in the SEC playing SEC teams week in and week out, instead of coaching Notre Dame through their weakass schedules every year, he wouldn't have been considered a playoff caliber coach to begin with.

The game hasn't passed him by. I don't buy that. He's just facing better coaching on a weekly basis now and it's exposing the fact that he's a mediocre coach. At Notre Dame he might have faced 2 good teams throughout the whole season.

I have been thinking about this as well…

The only thing that I can figure is there is some interference with the way he wants tos to coach. I don’t particularly like BK, but he is a good coach. You can’t be that sucessful for as long as he has and not know a good bit about coaching.

Because he's not a good enough coach to coach in this league.
