Extending Mesh Network to building 50-60 feet away

I'm thinking about using these. And hooking a mesh device on the other side to match whats in my house. Any reason 2 of these wont work?
Something better? These are $40 each.

I'm guessing they're unidirectional and meant to be aimed at each other. Do you have clear line of sight between where they're going to be mounted?
What brand was the original mesh? I know you said you were extending the mesh, but if you're switching brands, are the meshes even compatible?

In all seriousness, you’d probably be better off running a cable if it’s only 50-60 feet away. Much more reliable and less of a headache to set up and manage. The only downside would be that you’d probably want to put it in a conduit between the buildings. You can find 100’ pre-made cables for under $20.

Id have to either bore under or trench thru concrete. So that, unfortunately, isn't happening.

Those are fine.
Better: bury cat6
Better yet: bury 2x cat6
Best: bury cat6 in conduit.

My default for mesh is Eero, unless they have barriers. 50'-60' is not that far, I don't lose much signal until about 80'-100'. All depends on barriers.

You may want to check out the Wavlink outdoor WiFi extenders. Easy install, and blasts WiFi all over a large area.
I have one where the WiFi inside a mobile home about 100 yards away is plenty to stream TV, etc.

Update : that second set i posted worked like a charm. Literally a power and an ethernet cable on each side. Power on and worked.

What are your upload/download speeds at the far end of the system?

I'll run a speed test later, but the wireless bridge is rated for 800+mbps and I have 1 gig internet.
I was streaming 4k content on it yesterday.

I have a regular Deco mesh system. I stuck one of the nodes out in my metal shop, 45’ from the other node. It works fine.
Both are interior, but it is a wood framed house.
I was going to run a wire, glad I tried this instead.

Honestly if all you're doing on the far end is streaming TV or browsing the web occasionally, which probably covers a big majority of cases, a wireless mesh will be good enough most of the time. If you want to do something demanding or end up wanting cameras at the far end, you might run into bandwidth or latency issues.

And like I said, wood frame house with an uninsulated metal shop, with the node in the shop next to a window.
All we do is stream sports out there.
Just passing the info along in case someone else has a similar situation.
