iOS26 And Carplay

so one of the things I was hearing was how awesome the new update was for CarPlay cause now you can add widgets. Maybe I’m missing something but it only adds widgets on one screen. You STILL can’t customize what’s on the main screen.

I only see the screen you're talking about once a year when something has gone wrong. The rest of the time it's Waze or my podcast app.
Beware, though, once I updated to iOS26, it didn't seem to play well with the wireless Carplay adapter (Carplaybox, supposedly the 2025 edition) that I have been using since mid last year. Constant, constant disconnects. I bought a different brand of wireless adapter and it seems fine now.

CarPlay is all messed up for me. I like to listen to audiobooks and podcasts and iOS 26 has really distorted clipping. The workaround is to open the camera app, but that heats the phone up a lot.
