I hope you're right, but what makes you think that a team that couldn't score a TD with first and goal from the one yard line not once but twice, is suddenly going to get that fixed? I'm not saying that we can't improve, but it's just as likely that we are what we are, and that's a very bad offensive football team. We're halfway through the season. I don't expect any wholesale changes.

Key on Green early and force the defense to adjust to that. Force their lesser talent to have to deal with him in tough, isolated matchups. An example is the red zone look from the Clemson game- a diamond up top with Green alone on the other side. The defense is forced to pick its poison. Either they shade a Safety towards Green and it’s basically Cover 0 with the middle is wide open for a rub route out of that 4 WR set or for a QB run. Or you have Green one on one with the Safety 10-15 yards away.

Shove him down their throat until they have to double him. That will open up space for everyone else and make life and reads much easier on Nuss.

And hunt some 1 on 1 deep balls. Vandy’s secondary has given up big yards and big plays. Nuss was able to get the longer throws out there with enough on them last weekend. Go deep to Brown and make them respect his speed. Once they are spread out, use the run.

Vandy is the worst secondary we’ve played outside of SELA. I wouldn’t say it’s out of the realm of possibilities. However. Let’s hope Nuss doesn’t throw 2 INTs with those TDs
