I came across this game, I've never heard of it.
You basically are dictator of an island and have to go from the colonial times to world wars then cold wars and modern era while keeping your people from revolting and from being taken oven. While trying to build up tourism. It's fun because you can really do almost anything. You can do any form of government decide if you allow electiins and what parties you cater to.
It's a good time waster and i find it to be fun. I realize it's an older game but it's the best world builder I've played.

Loved tropico 5 and 6. The music is amazing. I generally don't play these types of games but it is fun to re-download it every few months and knock out a session or two.
Younger me would have figured out the cheats to get infinite money and just run wild.

I got Tropico 5 as my free PSN game a few years ago and it was fun, bought a couple of the dlcs for dirt cheap too. Will probably get tropico 6 on the same thing eventually or if they put everything out - base edition plus all dlcs - out for like $25 or less I’ll snag it. It’s fun creating different saves once you get to a certain point and picking how much freedom you give or how much of an iron fist you rule with. I found that on tropico 5 you could effectively be a king for life as long as you were capitalistic as frick.

It's a pretty cool game.
I'm assuming you've tried Anno if you like these types?

WeMod, been using it for years. I won't buy a game that it doesn't support (unless there is a console.)

I don't find money an issue. My issue is i get my island too big and the game gets buggy. But i only have a laptop not a gaming computer.

5 and 6 are my jams. It is the one game my latina gf doesn't mind me playing due to the soundtrack

At the beginning the tropico games are good, but get really bogged down and boring.
