Good hiking trips in a driveable radius from New Orleans.

I don't typically hike over 5-7 miles. Nothing too hard, but moderate to hard with some elevation is fine. Have been to Big Bend and loved it, but the basin is about to be closed for 2 years. I don't mind driving, and in fact love a drive across west Texas. Have hiked Amicalola in North Georgia in the winter.
I'm aware of some other possibilities.... How do these measure up?
Guadalupe Mountains (couples with a jaunt to Carlsbad Caverns), TX, NM
Palo Duro Canyon State Park, TX
Texas Hill Country
Ouachita Mountains, AR
Little River Canyon, AL
Cloudland Canyon, GA
More suggestions invited. Thanks.

Not sure if it fits the bill or not, but something closer to home - have you tried Tunica Hills up by St. Francisville?

There's beautiful hiking with waterfalls around the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas.
It's actually called Clark Creek and it's right across the state line in Mississippi

Tunica Hills is a Wildlife Management Area. Probably full of hunters right now.

Cheaha Wilderness Area, pinhoti trail- north Alabama. Legit through hiking. Strenuous switch backs. Basically the beginnings of the App trail, you will need to do your homework.
I never found any real hiking along those lines in the Hill country. Guadalupe is legit but that’s nowhere close to drivable from New Orleans.
The Arkansas buffalo river stuff looks amazing.

We hiked that same trail and cave in '21. Its hard to describe how amazing it is in that cavern.

Im biased, but Arkansas is fantastic. I’d recommend taking bear precautions if you come up here. We’ve had some fatal attacks lately, though not focused in Buffalo area. I’ve been doing outdoor stuff here all my life and never really worried about bears until this year. I wouldn’t let it dissuade me from getting outside obviously (done plenty of camping in bear country in the Rockies) but I would run a bear bag and pack spray and air horn.

Lonestsr trail north of Houston. 90 miles about. I'd rather hike the Wild Azalea 3 times. It has plenty road walking.

Tragically, there isn’t much that is driveable, but that is subjective. Clark creek natural area is ok.
Arkansas, northeast Alabama, northern Georgia about the closest options.
Guadalupe and Palo Duro aren’t really driveable. But if you are willing to drive the 15 hours, of the two Guadalupe is much better for hiking.

Tishomingo State Park in Mississippi is quite beautiful.
