Team Stats (National rankings in parenthesis):
Press Conference Tidbits:
- LSU vs. Texas A&M will kickoff at 6:30pm CT on ABC.

- O-line blocked better on run plays and did not give up any sacks.
- Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea was an assistant for Brian Kelly at Notre Dame (LB coach in 2017 and DC from 2018-2020)
- Kelly thought Nuss was more loose and confident in the pocket.
- DL Bernard Gooden has a bruised collarbone...not broken...no mention of status for Vandy game
- DE Jimari Butler has a lateral ankle sprain...is probable for Vandy.

"Our attention to detail and focus has to be better..." I have heard that quote every single press conference since he has been here. I'm over it

Yeah, if true he needs to go when we can afford the buyout:

He comes up limping every time he is touched.

Compare to JB9 who did everything not to bring attention to being hurt. Think about the spear in the Natty.

Were you at tailgate near the lsu law center on Saturday? Saw a dude wearing a chicken shirt and almost asked if it was you.

Vanderbilt is 2.5 favorite over LSU. Has Vanderbilt ever been a favorite over LSU before?

Anyone know what the tailgate situation is like at Vandy? Taking my wife and mom to the game and don't necessarily know the layout of pregame festivities.

If we can stop the run on early downs we will be in good shape. 1st and 2nd down is key in this matchup. They have a lot of 3rd and short opportunities so far this season. If we can get them into more 3rd and long situations we will be in good shape.
Our run fits need to be excellent this game. They are a much better running team than South Carolina. If we can stop their run game especially early this could be a very good game for us. Blake Baker and co. need to be biting at the bit to show we are a much better run defense then what they showed the past 2 games.

The Vandy QB is crafty. Stopping the run is key, but not sure I would emphasize any down. He is good enough to convert 3rd downs. We have to play consistent and limit big plays.

Vandy is efficient in 3rd downs because its mainly been 3rd and short due to their running game. Stopping the run on 1st and 2nd down will take away what they want to do. Pavia while crafty (which means we need to maintain our pass rush lanes and gap integrity) is not the best passer. Forcing him into passing situations is the key. Which is stopping the run on early downs.

Unsure the answer to your question, but it's the first time Vandy has ever hosted a top 10 appointment and been the favorite. Sad times
