$20 to enter Campus without a ticket

They should charge to enter campus $10- $20 Gives you usages of bathrooms and trash cans, give everyone wristbands , season ticket holders get a certain allotment per game, if not a student or have a tickets to the game pay to enter campus, kids under 15 need a parent and can enter for free.
Problem solved.

Traffic is already bad enough with free entry, have fun trying to smooth it out by slowing down the entrance points.

So it takes roughly 9 hours to get on campus? Sounds great.

How about more like no admittance to campus area without a game ticket or student ID.

How many security checkpoints, walls, fences, and police do you think you'll need? All that is free after all.

Campus is way too big to police ingress. Ban weed on gamedays and reinstate the ACT in admissions. Problem solved.

How are you going to completely block off all of campus? Holy hell I hope everyone upvoting this isn’t working in any sort of job that requires logistical planning

Considering they were doing burnouts and donuts on highland by chimes yesterday and blocking traffic, sounds like limiting car access to campus would solve at least some of the problem. That's an easy fix. They already limit traffic through most of campus unless you have a parking pass, just close all roads going through campus to parking pass holders only.

Rudimentary critical thinking isn't this board's strongest suit.

This should have been done years ago.
I was told that for big home games there may be as many as 40-50,000 on campus to "tailgate". No intention of going to the game.
If you want to drain resources for the event (that you arent going to) then 20 bucks a head sounds right.
Could help with traffic (my biggest complaint) as well. Imagine 5,000 LESS vehicles trying to get off campus.

You think they should completely shut down every road that runs through campus for the entire day?

Contra flow doesn’t let you get within 10 miles of campus

No free parking on or near campus. Free parking at Mall of Louisiana and other places and bus people to and from game. I think Ole Miss does something like that. That may not work though because the hood is close by.

5000 less cars but every car getting checked for a bracelet. Are there prepay options for this retarded plan, or do you pay as you pull up? Do they take Apple Pay? What about people dropping folks off?

If anyone is looking to kill attendance numbers and tailgating, look no further.

Wait til students have to do a breathalyzer for entrance to TS like some poster actually posted earlier…

Drones could fix this

That was my first thought, don't know the legalities of that though.

Of course there is, just like a parking pass which is essentially what it is.
You want to park on campus during game day, take advantage of emergency services (police, paramedics)? ok pay for it.

So, take however many parking pass holders there are now and make it campus wide and triple, quadruple, the amount? You don’t see the traffic and logistical nightmare here?
