Looking to do something a little different with my crew next weekend. My wife and I are looking to take our kids to stay in a yurt or a glamping type place.
We live in central LA and are willing to drive up to 6 hours. Are there places you’d recommend in TX, MS, or AR?
Thanks!

Will check it out, but I’m thinking Marfa is a good bit further than 6 hours. Thanks though!

Never overestimate the reading skills of this board. It will only end in sadness and humiliation.

Yeah, I’d like to go that way, I just don’t know any exact places to book. I’ve always wanted to stay at Lucky Arrow retreat in dripping springs, but it’s sold out for next weekend.

This place has glamping treehouses, cabins, and teepees on the water and it's right outside of New Braunfels in Seguin, TX https://www.geronimocreekretreat.com/

Onera looks awesome! Just not sure if kids are allowed as all accommodations seem to be for 2 people.

These look awesome! Especially Geronimo…I’m going to email them to see if they get a cancellation to let me know as they’re all booked for Sat.
Thanks for the rec!!

Several of the Arkansas state parks have yurts

Rent-A-YURT is available at DeGray Lake Resort State Park, Lake Catherine State Park, Lake Charles State Park, or Petit Jean State Park. Rent-A-YURT is also available at Daisy State Park with heating and air. These round, high-walled tents are some of the best YURTs in Arkansas, complete with electricity, wood floors, screened windows, and a door with a lock. Some YURTs are also equipped with cots, a lantern, a stove, and an ice chest. Linens are not furnished. Sleeps up to six people. The Rent-A-YURT at Lake Charles State Park has three bunk beds that can sleep six people a small table, an ice chest and a stand-up fan. Outside there is a stand-up grill, a fire pit and a picnic table.
