Nuss rushing: 4 rushes for 30 yards.
Sellers rushing: 22 rushes for 19 yards.

Nuss passing: not great, but still 2 TDs instead of 1 TD he has averaged against tough opponents.
Sellers passing: 0 TDs.

Rushing yardage for LSU much improved.

O-line ZERO sacks given up.

1 play of negative yardage.

This was statistically our best game against tough competition

The offense absolutely looked improved (despite the Panicans with their hair on fire).

Two turnovers at the goal line will kill just about any team in a SEC dogfight.

100% agree. It seemed as if we ran the ball better when it was obvious Nuss was healthy again. Durham had multiple good runs and the line did the best they have all year opening holes. We averaged 6.0 ypc last night and not just because of Johnson’s 56 yard run.

Also, Nuss definitely had zip on his passes again and the whole field opened up, I take this as a game 1 type situation for the offense as it’s the first game where the whole field is in play. Purely speculation but I think they will get better as season goes on.

Edited to add about the two goalie turnovers. One was a great defensive play and bad timing for us as the guy punched the ball out as soon as Johnson reached for end zone. The 2nd was a good defensive scheme against rpo, having linebacker loop around end right before snap and safety replacing him post snap.

What we need are more points. The other stuff is better, but we have to finish better.

South Carolina isn’t a very good team.

Disagree. One of the more annoying things about Nuss after throwing a pick that a middle schooler wouldn't make, he always has this nonchalant look to him like, "ahh, shucks! Welp, maybe next time!"

I really think he's just dumb. Played like shite most of the game and at one point made a first down run and jumped up and pointed like it was his Hesiman moment.

Major Burns vibes.

Yes Nuss is what he is an average QB. It’s not going to change ,everybody knows is so stop bitching about it. The backup is always the most popular guy on the team .Until he comes in and then they want his backup in.It is what it is and at this time is the best we have.

I’m referring to how he limps like he got shot in the leg in Bastogne every time he gets touched

That game was better than any of the previous, I agree.

But we're 6 games in. We need rapid improvement at this point to compete in some of these upcoming games.

It's also okay to be a little frustrated with the fact that we're 6 games in and still have absolutely zero identity as an offense. It's like we're winging it each game.

Can’t wait for Nuss to be gone. Too many dumb low IQ decision at critical time. It’s maddening watching him play! How TF do you kept throwing into triple coverage every fking game ????

I'd certainly hope so considering Nuss is no longer "injured" and we had TWO weeks to prepare.

South Carolina is not a good team and we struggled offensively after a bye and "healthy" QB.

Glad we won, but we've escaped with wins against competition that isn't comparable to what we'll see here over the next couple of months.

Nussmeier still as a fifth year senior tosses stupid interceptions. Something is wrong with him.

Some context: His backup was an SEC starter as a freshman.

I think that’s how most teams are this season more or less.

This is a season where nearly every game is a dog fight for most teams.
