Did you read where I mentioned it was SNL?

I watched this segment live and thought the same. Pretty weak attempt at comedy aside from the old yeller joke which was pretty funny

That sucks. I would laugh if it was funny, done well, or structurally not with extreme bias.

I’m not particularly crazy that this seems at times to be like a big WWE entertainment production.
What’s going on in Chicago is not good.
And we’re out there running some social media smack about recreating SNL skits instead of just quietly going to fricking work on addressing the problem?

It’s refreshing to see leaders mock the propaganda machine. How much time do you think this took away from Chicago?? The mayor of Chicago is doing far more harm.

I didn’t say they were harming anything. Of course Chicago’s politicians are doing the actual harm at this point.
“Red meat” and entertainment for the supporters are fine as long as something tangible is done.
Otherwise, it’s just talk.

I'm so old, I remember when SNL was actually funny.

SNL died well over a decade ago.

Great response. Embracing it is always the best way to respond, even if it is not funny.

Winning the culture war is critical. Look what happened the last time conservatives focused solely on work. The left took over academia, the media, and pop culture. With Trump's elections, we learned the importance of social media. While the left stuck with the same tired playbook, Trump and his people adapted and reached millions with a direct message not filtered by the media.
We shouldn't want Trump to abandon his winning strategies and once again surrender the public arena to democrats.

Again, all this is fine so long as something actually tangible follows it.
Without anything tangible, this won’t amount to anything except smack talk.
Smack talk alone won’t win shite.

Last week the cold opening with Trump sucked. At first I thought maybe this would be good.
It sucks...

Same here. I see they still use laugh tracks. It's the only way to tell the TV audience that it is supposed to be funny and you are supposed to laugh.

I watched the whole thing with Bondi and Noem. It wasn't only unfunny but when Patel's eyes were made fun of it was so distastefully cruel, it wasn't funny.
Why do mostly all the skits say Trump had a stroke? They are really off the deep end. It is like democrat underground not comedians.
