Would ULL take back Billy Napier?

I give ULL a ton of grief on here but I think you have to give Michael "One of Us" Desormeaux the 2026 Season because he went 7-1 in the Sun Belt in 2024 and his NIL "Star" QB Transfer got injured early.
You need to spend the cash on the Portal again and not a Buy Out.
With that said, you can absolutely take Sun Belt Billy back for the 2027 Season if he decides to go Coordinator/Year Off role next season & Desormeaux can't go 6-6 in 2026.
Their non-conference schedule next season is UAB, Lamar, and Louisiana Tech.
You need to spend the cash on the Portal again and not a Buy Out.

I would take a highly motivated Billy looking to prove himself for another shot at a P4 job.

There is no scenario where UL lets Des go and hires Napier. UL is in a major financial bind that the former president got them in and they are slashing staff and departments all over campus.

To show how awesome our university "leadership" has been, we allowed a buyout clause in the contract of a 3A high school offensive coordinator.

That’s not how buyouts work.
Billy has not been fired so hiring team would end up paying his buyout. It’s not certain if UF even will fire him. Because of the buyout.

My brother and I were talking about that and both agreed they would because he was a very good HC for UL and the current HC is terrible
