Yeah, but with any slight improvement from Rattler and having Shough, what is the probability that we pick a QB if we have a top 5 pick?

We're all saints fans here, and we all know a rash of devastating injuries will be around the corner. I fully expect the saints to be top 5

I think he was asking about picking a QB top 5, not having a top 5 pick.

I don’t think anyone knows that answer, but if I had to guess I don’t think Coach Moore is that rigid or stubborn yet to pass on a potential franchise quarterback if he thinks he’s the guy, regardless of Rattler or Shough’s presence. Now, we were in year 5-6 of Brees heyday, then yeah, you don’t take a QB top 5.

He certainly seems to be a pretty intelligent player and makes really good decisions whenever I watch him play.

Define success. They've had 3 QBs start nfl games this season

That’s pretty easy, even thought it’s a ridiculous and completely irrelevant point.

Seaux is the future.

They drafted him for a reason.

Ehh, I cat say he’d be much of an improvement over Rattler at this point.

I’m eyeing Bain, Mauigoa, Downs or Proctor with a top pick. And if you “have” to pick a QB, I still like the upside of Sellers. Much higher of a ceiling than a guy like Simpson who just seems like a guy.

But it’s still to early to really be looking at the draft and who will be the top picks.

Jalen Hurts should count

He said name one and then laughed.

I named a HOF, Superbowl winning, League MVP, 4 time Pro Bowler, decade+ QB. I assume his point was Alabama hasn’t produced any NFL quality QBs outside of Namath.

Completely agree with this

Simpson doesn't have upside. He's a game manager in a good offense.

I disagree tremendously. I watched two throws today that we only wish Rattler could make.

Plus Simpson seems like a winner.

He’s the best QB in the country right now. When Mateer gets healthy he would be his competition along with Dante Moore.

I watched him throw two balls 10 yards over his receiver’s heads. We already have QBs that can do that. Alabama has tons of talent. I think Simpson seems like a Temu Mac Jones.

We need talent. Simpson doesn’t elevate the team. If you want a QB, take a shot at a guy like Sellers to turn into a Cam Newton level talent instead of Mac Jones or Stetson Bennett.
