Cheddar, Edam, Vallagret, Jalapeno Cheese Spread, and other holiday favorites are back on sale at the MS State Ag Experiment Station shop.

You pick your ship date; they begin in November. You'll want to make note of when to expect your cheese so that it isn't left on the doorstep while you're on vacation.

The items are pretty inexpensive, but it did cost $25 to ship my three picks. Still not bad, and the stuff lasts forever. I put a container of the Jalapeno Cheese Spread in the refrigerator last November and didn't open it until this summer, and it was good to go.

Look at the size of each product. The portions are huge.

How is the cheddar? The local store in Opelousas Meches used to sell cheddar in the wax seal back when I was a kid. It was a big round block and they had it on a cutter and would cut you off a chunk. It was so good.

I always stock up on these for the holidays. The Vallagret is my personal favorite but all are excellent. The variety gift packs are great
