Dallas Love Field PSA

Flew out of Love Field today and traffic getting into the airport is a disaster. The entrance at Mockingbird and Cedar Springs is under construction and entrance to the airport is f****ed up. It added almost an hour, mainly due to short light cycles and cross traffic blocking intersections.

First time in Dallas? Every road is under construction. I drove through there yesterday at 5pm and it wasn't bad.

Still prefer Love Field, especially if I am going to Dallas proper. Also has some of the best eating options (granted, it is airport food) per sq foot compared to any airport I have been to.

I live down the street and didn't believe you at first, but man there really is a lot of construction there right now. Mockingbird gets down to one lane each direction right at the Love Field entrance.

I flew into and out of Love Field for the first time this week and did not really enjoy it.
Every bathroom I went into had only 1-2 stalls, they were dirty and half the chargers under the seats were not working. Plus all the construction and traffic mess...

Haven't flown into Love field in a little over 3yrs, but it used to be one of the most efficient and nicest small airports.
Thats a shame its gone down hill

This is all spot on, they have capacity issues.

We flew out last Tuesday at 1 in the afternoon and there was barely room to walk. We fly SWA exclusively within the US but will probably start looking around.

They are in the midst of a big expansion including widening concourses, a new ticketing/baggage drop area and new parking garage and new access roads. So its gonna be a cluster for a while.

I'll take it to San Antonio, Houston, or New Orleans, but I'm over them. Even with all the construction at DFW, I prefer American. A List is pretty worthless compared to American status in my experience.
