With Ty Davis Price....

First 5 weeks of the season we couldn't get the running game going at all. Very similar to this season.

Then week 5-6 we changed it up and started running a different scheme that the online was able to grasp and in those two weeks TDP rushed for like 430 yards in 2 games including a record setting 287 yards vs Florida.

We are in desperate need to change the running scheme completely. Sick of watching this running attack look like it's on life support each week.

Can't keep slamming our heads against the wall week after week doing the exact same thing and expecting a different result. I don't think our online is miraculously gonna improve outta nowhere. If anything they seem to be getting worse! Change it Sloan!

Yeah and wasn’t that turn around due to some analytics report put together by Marucci?

This year is different. It's all focused on Nuss. He was supposed to be the pezzonovante in the white-hot spotlight-- the next Heisman winner. Well, that's not happening. Someone needs to knock some sense into Sloan and Kelly and establish a running game. The talent is there to make.it.happen.

I think I’ve said that 20 times on here. It’s not that every offensive lineman over the last 2 seasons can’t run block. Nor that every RB is bad. It’s the staff’s flat out refusal to accept their approach to the run game doesn’t fit this personnel. It’s been 18 games!! How much more evidence do you need?!

It’s Sloan and his scheme and playcalling.

If they shift to purely man-blocking and eliminate zone blocking in the run game, this offense will make major shifts. Instead, they will continue to flip back and forth and blame the OL.

Hire a moron as an OC and you will get this type of performance from the offense.

TDP was an excellent back, we don’t have a talent like that.

TDP was a pretty average back.

Caden Durham-- okay, he's hurt-- gets a pass
Harlem Berry?
JuJuan Johnson?
Kaleb Jackson?

The talent is there. It's the common sense from the coaching staff that's lacking.

They need to scrap the RPOs and run a more traditional run-and-pass scheme based on play-action. Just let the O-line know going into the play what they're doing and fricking go. The only directive for them needs to be....move that fricking guy out of the way. I don't really think it's a talent issue as much as it's a confusion about who is blocking what.

I've been telling people it's the run scheme Sloan uses. People keep getting on Davis, but just look at the efficiency under Denbrock.

The RBs in 2022 averaged 5.3 ypc and scored 28 TDs the RBs in 2021 averaged 5.4 ypc and scored 22 TDs.

The thing is, we don't run the ball alot anyway. Even with JD scrambling, we only averaged 33 carries in 2023 (now i blame this on the extreme effectiveness of JD and how poor the defense was).

With Sloan we are insanely low on running the ball. We averaged less than 29 carries a game last year and we are a little over 29 carries a game this year.

In 2024, Sloan's RBs averaged 4.17 ypc with 12 TDs

Currently in 2025 the RBs average 4.3 ypc with 5 TDs.

The problem is with Sloan and his scheme. Remove the RPO. Nuss checks into too many pass plays. Change the blocking scheme and make the OL the enforcers instead of the thinkers.

Was that the game that we ran counter like 16 times in a row and UF couldn't figure it out?

Jack Mashburn TYFYS. Watching him lead block for TDP that game was a thing of beauty!
