We really enjoyed Little Frenchie on Coronado Island. We had brunch there and then explored the island after.

Id check out La Jolla if your willing to drive a bit north... Georges, dukes are good.
If you want to stay local there are plenty of places in the gas lamp district to choose from.

El Pescador fish market in La Jolla. Great reflection of local seafood. Everything from fish to shark, you can go nice or casual with it.

Cafe Sevilla and Werewolf in the Gaslamp District were cool places with good food.
Coasterra has a great view. Food and drinks were good, but view is great if you can sit on the patio.
It’s not food, but highly recommend going to Nobel Experiment. Lot of fun with great drinks and service.
