So the two most glaring issues pre-season are still the two most glaring issues.

The concern was that we were patching together an offensive line with the "strength" being the transfers we acquired in the offseason. We all know that transfers do not provide a guaranteed transition to immediate success.
There was still the lingering question concerning whether or not this O-Line room would manifest "instant karma" playing as a group (as well as being two-deep without dropping a note).
There were also concerns about experience amongst a bulk of the younger guys (including how to replace,at least, the pass blocking abilities of four NFL draftees from last year's O-Line.
Other than being "snakebit" just before game time (losing your starting RT to a freak accident), losing another starter in the first half and the O-Line's "sixth man" for the first half, how is it that the last minute changes were going to reflect an outfit ready to excell (on the road where the home team had won the previous 11 games out of 13)?

Based on Curne’s performance on Saturday and having 2 weeks to get him ready, I’d like to see the following OL. If Charles is our next man in and with last year’s experience at C, maybe he could help Curne with his assignments during the game.
Adams
Echols
Moore

I thought the same thing. Haven't been impressed with Thompson at RG. But LSU probably paid big considering he was one of the top rated linemen in the portal. [Purple glasses on] And maybe without having to worry about Davis on his outside, he'll settle in. [off] Or he just can't cut it in the SEC.

Pass pro actually hasn't been that bad. Running blocking has been terrible. Need to do away with the zone blocking scheme. The lineman don't consistently know their assignments from play to play & the running backs are struggling reading the blocks & cutting off of the blocks.

My bad…Chester
I would slide Curne to guard and have a competition at Right tackle with Davis, Chester, Thompson, Williams, and anyone else. Curne is a guard and that fire and mean drive is needed in the interior.
Tyree
Echols
Moore
Curne
Johnny Wholestaff.

Yeah definitely! The offense not moving the ball in spring game and fall camp was a glaring red flag.
Sloan, o line, Davis, Nussmeier are concerns, in that order. “But we have a new o line”. We didn’t last year and it was just as bad.

Agree with this! When passing, they are ok. Nuss just needs to be healthy to let it rip.
For running, put a hat on a hat and run power, or toss. LSU just looks like the bad news bears when trying to run zone.
