He made some rookie mistakes but seemed to hold up much better.

If he was better, then wtf have we been doing all season with Davis at RT?

I know one time he just powered a dude to the ground and the guy couldn't do anything about it. He looked like Larry Allen on that play which is why I wished he played guard.

Curne’s future is at guard (NFL), but I think he can be a good RT for LSU.

I feel like his NFL spot is guard. I wouldn't mind getting him and Davis on the field at the same time. We need to shake things up. Moore seems to be the only consistent (ish) guy on the line right now.

While on the topic, Bauer Sharp is an atrocious blocker. We miss Mason Taylor dearly in this offensive scheme.

fixed typo

I would like to see him pile drive people in the middle of the line now. Ergo we would be able to run up the middle which never works.

The On3 guys are basically crowning him Emery Jones 2.0.

Barring injury, I think Curne is your starting RT for the rest of the season.

Yes, he is obviously better and him not playing until this point is complete malpractice.

So many of our best players started their careers here either on the bench or in a far too small a role:

Perkins
Whit Weeks
Durham
Curne
Berry

BK hates freshman

Sharp, Nic Anderson, and Josh Thompson have, so far, been big disappointments among our portal purchases. Sharp has had some catches but nothing really of note and you are correct, he is a terrible blocker.

then expect Davis to put him at tackle like he did with Jones.

Our offense would've sputtered much less if he moved Jones to guard after the injury last year to our starter

He looked better than Davis has looked all year and it honestly isn't close.

Tried warning folks celebrating this pickup from OU, OU was glad to see him go. He supposed to be some "all purpose" TE here and a "good blocker" by our coaches account

44.8 run block grade this season, that is pitiful

He was not a good blocker at OU by any shape of the imagine either with a 50.1 run block grade there

It makes too much sense for it to happen.

He wasn’t perfect, but he had fewer assignment busts. I think it’s easier to live with those, especially if he improves game to game as he gains experience.

Chester is a better tackle than Davis. Is Davis related to our Oline coach....just trying to figure out why he is playing at all.

Perkins was playing rush downs by game 3

Weeks was not ready, yet still played a ton his freshman year.

Durham was behind an NFL RB and was RB1 by week 3

Berry was behind Durham, who you yourself listed as a guy who was mistreated. Berry also, by all accounts, was unplayable in pass pro earlier in the season.

Curne was behind 5 star Davis.

Campbell, Taylor, Jones all started day 1.

Pickett has essentially been a day 1 starter.

Reliford played a ton as a freshman.

Ahmad Breaux played a ton as a freshman.

Trey'Dez played a ton as a freshman.

Walter Mathis is getting signficant reps as a freshman.

Keys was a starter as a freshman.

Jujuan Johnson was put at 5 different positions to get him PT as a freshman.

They tried Heard as a freshman and he couldn't get it done.

They tried Toviano as a freshman and he couldn't get it done.

Womack played as a freshman until he dug himself into a hole within the program.

Pretty much every viable freshman in the BK era has either started or played significant snaps. You are wrong.
