People will shite on you but if it was financially possible Baker is clearly the better asset in the short, medium, and long term.

At Southern Miss, following the 2011 football season, head coach Larry Fedora left for North Carolina, and USM decided to hire Ellis Johnson away from South Carolina where he had served as DC.
Johnson had also served as a pretty good DC at USM during their heyday in the late 80s, but he had almost no head coaching experience.
Johnson went 0-12 in his only season as HC, following a 12-2 season with Fedora. It took several seasons for USM to recover from Johnson’s destruction of the program.
LSU needs to hire head coaches with proven track records, and head coaches who will hire assistants with proven track records.
