I went to the restroom. Made my coffee. Made breakfast. Sat down with my coffee and my breakfast. While eating, I open my trade accounts to find I am up $2K.

I reached out to my family. Turns out, they are all good and nothing has changed for them either.

My wife went shopping and said there has been no run on food and supplies. People talking, laughing....etc.

The sun is out. The weather is great.

If the government shuts down and no one notices, did it really shut down?

If the government shuts down and no one notices, was it doing any good in the first place?

I think their biggest fear is actually that no one will notice.

That's what they actually hate - when people notice stuff.

The OP posted several times yesterday his desire for BigGov and more regulations.

In one day, he's destroyed yesterdays arguments.

I made coffee this morning and checked my emails. Played with my dogs then made breakfast.

It wasn't until I opened the Poli Board that I found out the government shut down.

Now that I know, when should I begin freaking out about it? I live in Asheville, so I'm certain there's a protest somewhere that I join.

Oh well, guess I'll just go about my day as if nothing has happened.

Lucky!! Man, I had to put my Jeep in 4 wheel drive just to get to work. All the roads magically disappeared. Stop lights? Gone! Stop signs? Taken! There were dead bodies everywhere! People were barricading their neighborhoods to keep out marauders! All the stores were barren. Even the DG was empty.

If you aren't affected by the shutdown, then nobody must must be! Logic!

Not only that. If you aren't immediately impacted by it then there must be no consequences possible.

it was all cool last shutdown till the unpaid tsa agents and air traffic controllers walked off the job en masse after a few missed paychecks. suddenly, idiot politicians decided maybe not a great idea after all to use a shutdown as a mean to a political end.

probably end same way this time. congress is an embarrassment, all of them. deficits, games, stupidity.
