Such a long way to travel for a preseason game, especially against a Melbourne team. The NBA did not even give the Aussie fans another NBA team to see.

This might be nothing... but it looked like in the footage from practice today Karlo was scrimmaging with the 1's.
They probably rotate the bigs from practice to practice but that's an interesting lineup. Kid has some skills.

They probably wanted Missi to get reps defending Zion in the paint and vice versa.

This is the first time an NBA team has ever traveled to Australia to play against an NBL team. These two games were scheduled back when we still had Dyson Daniels on the roster.

Crazy seeing Zion without the (formerly de rigueur) long-sleeve shirt.
EDIT: I love that they could get thousands of fans there to watch an open workout.

Australia loves basketball. Their NBL atmosphere is absolutely electric.

I'm a big believer in Karlo. Fits the modern NBA extremely well.

frickin great job Zion.. Man I hope this guy can put it together this year.
Hearing positive stuff about Hawkins is also nice. Hopefully he's got his back figured out and can contribute this year. Having someone that can turn a 4 point lead into a 10 point lead in a couple of possessions is something that we've lacked for a while

Pels can own Australia. Thats no little thing. Players look happy and coming together. Saints owning France too. It will reap better days perhaps.
