Every week exactly half the teams lose

By the end of the regular season at most one or maybe two will be undefeated. Special seasons are special because they're rare. This team has some problems but so does almost everybody else. We might crash and burn, then again we might go on a roll. At least let it play out the rest of the way. Fandom is supposed to be enjoyable, but it seems to make some of y'all miserable.

And good programs lose a lot less.

I mean do you see anything positive coming out of this offense…? We gonna lose to vandy bama Oklahoma. I think South Carolina could be a win.

Of course losing sucks, but it’s more about being fed mixed messages about the health of QB1 while simultaneously crafting an offensive gameplan forcing the QB to drop back 60% of the time into 8/9 man coverages.
Not to mention he absolutely shows his arse to a reporter questioning the offense while doing nothing to fix the obvious problems.
Good coaches are able to make their team improve through the year, we’re 5 games in and I think you can argue that we’re worse now than game 1.
But don’t worry we’ll get the same coach speak all year while we continue to have the same problems.

I’m going to take a wild guess and that the best record in the SEC this year will be 10-2. The days of Alabama and Georgia stacking rosters are over. It’s a week to week game now. Matchups!

Genuine question, do you expect fans to be happy after a loss like that? Do you expect fans to be happy watching this offense. Do you expect fans to be fine with the head coach lying about the health of his players? What about when he ignores obvious issues?
I would actually totally disagree with you. A big part of being a fan is being happy when your team wins and mad when they lose. Of results don’t matter and we should just be happy all the time, what’s the point?

Do you read the board? People are mad when we win. Hell, I remember even in 2019 some people were waiting for the other shoe to drop all season.
I dont like losing either, but if LSU losing is the worst thing that happens that week, it's been a pretty good week.

You wanna know why? Because you could see a game like Ole Miss coming. When you get statistically beat at home by a team as bad as Florida and only win because their QB threw 5 interceptions, it’s frustrating. Then when someone says “well what’s going to happen when we play a team that’s better than Florida and their QB doesn’t throw 5 interceptions” it gets met with a “who cares, we won” response.

I’d agree. But also, if you don’t want to see negative things about LSU, you should stay off of this site. And you know that.

Bye weeks are undefeated.
Had to throw it out there.

Being miserable is part of the fun. I probably enjoy 1045 ESPN more after a big loss than a big win.

I think that’s generally true, but people around here take it to an absurd extreme.
The more I read tRant lately, the more I become convinced that our fanbase at large doesn’t know jack shite about football. I’ve noticed the same thing listening to Hanny’s postgame.. and it’s unfortunate because I feel like we used to have a fairly football-educated fanbase.
It seems like there are maybe a dozen posters who can have a reasonable discussion without either resorting to histrionics or making shite up. The more histrionics we get, the more it drives the reasonable folks to just say “frick all that.” The influx of trolls/alters after a loss doesn’t help either.
I get that it’s called the “Rant” for a reason but frick, man. It’s exhausting.

Of course. But that’s what you are going to get on an extremely popular and free message board. If you want to cut down on that, you should go to the On3 boards. Much less nonsense.

These are just lame excuses.
We have an excellent team, and we paid a lot of money for the defense talent that is playing pretty darn good. Much improved from a year ago.
Our issue is we have a very weak and poorly coached OL and a QB who has lost all confidence. He has regressed under this coaching staff.
On top of that, we have an arrogant coach who doesn’t want to answer legitimate questions. He thinks is he’s the smartest guy in the room. Kelly is hated by ND fans, and he is burning bridges here on a daily basis. I just don’t think the BK era ends well here for us.
Unfortunately his contract terms lock us into several more years of this madness and mediocre performances on the field.
I’ve been attending LSU games since the 1960s, so I’ve seen many highs and many lows. This team is certainly better than many I’ve seen don the P&G. But it’s been a long time since I’ve seen such poor OL and QB play.
Felt almost as disappointed and confused on Saturday night as I did on 1/09/2012.
