No way Louisiana is at 53%.
I would guess somewhere between 60-70%.

The thing about the US and gun ownership statistics is that those are just legal guns.

That can't be accurate!

Ain't no way less than half of my state is packing.

That number for Kentucky seems low but also does not consider that each owner has multiple guns.

I can give you an example. I have a hand gun I’ve owned for a long time. Given to me by my dad. It has never been registered anywhere. It’s in nobody’s database. Lots of people are like this.

How do you know those aren’t underreported numbers. If some surveyor called me up asking about guns I’d tell them I don’t have any.

Can we deport the damn Californians? That would knock us up close to the top.

Bottom 10 all blue states

Top 14 all red states…

Surprised to see Oregon at 15, must be red sided East Oregon.

How so we interpret this?

Is it by household? Is it by person? At what age?

I’m saying this because 53% sounds incredibly low

These are "registered guns" surely... So 1/3 of the State isn't being represented.

Eastern Oregon and Washington are just like Idaho and Montana.

I'd increase Texas by 12 to 15% given my 35 years of residence
