I have listened to a bunch of Steyn’s podcast episodes.
Over time, he is just too negative and pessimistic. I think I understand why he wasn’t chosen.

I know Rush was always an optimist but I think Steyn's more realistic in many ways.
His experience with the Mann lawsuit has probably paid a large part in that...along with the Canadian Human Rights Commission mess.
