No one’s talking about the fact that Nuss’s injury may be psychological.

The yips are real. Time to beef up the team counselors imo.

Probably part of it, doesn’t explain his loss of velocity or ability to throw it over 20 yards.

His emotions are his abs and his abs are his emotions!

It does though, particularly if you’re having to change trajectory to get comfortable.

He needs one of those mental coaches that Saban used to get. Sports Psychologist or something.

I believe he worked on decision making in the off season. It was a point of emphasis.
The injury wasn't expected, so the decision making took a backseat to health. And I believe he changed his throwing motion/delivery to ease the pain.
I think he's healthier now but he has to get back to better mechanics and focusing on decision making again. He has 2 weeks to do so then a home game.
If he doesn't show considerable improvement against South Carolina, even in a win, then it's time to give Van Buren more looks while Nuss figures it out.
The season is nowhere near lost. South Carolina is very winnable at home. A healthy Nuss and/or some versatility from Van Buren will give Vandy fits then you're back home before another 2 weeks off.
Nobody said it would be easy, even with a healthy and clicking Nuss. Most importantly, we have to figure out a way to run the ball and use more creative play calling. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter much who is playing QB.

Some smoke came out online a week and a half ago saying he got caught fooling around on his girl. Could be total made up BS, but could also have his head tied up in knots and causing him to play like arse.

Wow

I really don't give a shite why he's playing so bad. If you stop your team from winning then you need to be benched. No reason to coddle millionaires who don't produce. If MVB can't get it done then try something else. No reason to not try to win games.

If it's psychological, it's because he's rattled that he's injured physically

At this point I would feel safe with he got caught banging her brother. Just some excuse for the shite play

So why don't we give him a mental health break.

I said this 2 weeks earlier (FL int) either he’s blind, he has a tbi or his has no heart? I got told hush up!

Nuss is a product of a staff that knows their offense SUCKS and they've pressed him so much to not turn the ball over.
That's it. If we had a real OC, a competent OL coach, and a HC who could win the big games, Nuss would be lights out right now.

I honestly don't know how anyone can watch the 3 throws to hilton where he puts everything he has into it and it dies at 35 yds and not say hes hurt. Last year the timing was an issue because he was over throwing folks. This year he can't throw it deep. So you think he just got his arm talent stolen from a nerdluck monster? Like honestly, how can anyone not see that he grimaces every time he throws its further than 20 yds. Even the throw to Zavion that was caught he grimaced in pain after he threw it.
