I think we would have run the ball more with Durham healthy. For some reason, Johnson touches were very limited at rb. Berry runs were very late in the game. That adjustment should have been made in the 1st quarter given the fronts from Ole Miss.

People on here preseason saying that RB depth isn’t a problem were almost as crazy as the people on here saying the the OL wouldn’t be a problem. Then again, it was probably the same group of people.

We didn’t run one if our two highly rated RBs the venture first half (one exception was 3rd and like 21, 10 yds for Kaleb Jackson)

That’s a shitty plan.

We sucked at running when Durham was playing. Stop it.

Yes, I didn’t say we would run more effectively, just that we would have called more running plays.

the rbs ran the ball twice in the first half, and one was 3rd and 20, the other was a 1 yd loss. What do you depth at RB for if that is your running game. There is no way to describe that other than football incompetence, especially against a team that had struggled in every game stopping nobody team's running games. How can that not be grounds for dismissal??

Put in Van Buren so there is a slight threat of run game. This opens passing attack in major way.

your offensive coordinator seemed to have so much confidence in his offensive line to run the ball he kept using WR Zavion Thomas as a running back… granted he does a great job in the back field gaining most of his hard rushing yards on his own but it’s a play every LSU fan knows what’s coming and you know the other teams coaches know also…we have a Gatorade player of the year sitting the pine mainly becuz he’s a true freshman but with Durham out why not use Berry & Johnson as running backs and let WRS do what they do…Sloan is scared shitless to try anything different… he relied on Nuss’s noodle arm which cost LSU a chance to be in the game or blow the lid off of it… he should b FIRED…

Totally disagree with the narrative that Durham would have helped. He was not having a good season as it was, before he got injured. I think Johnson, Berry, and Williams are more than adequate to carry the ball -- we just do not give it to them enough.

Durham is still the best back on the team. Everybody already turning their back on him as if he doesn’t average almost an entire yard per carry higher than the back up. Berry looks good in the change of pace role but Durham should receive the bulk of the touches when he returns

Durham will not help the issues LSU has.

Berry is a work in progress. Keep giving him the ball. There will be some hiccups, but he will do things that you will not believe. Mark my words.

It's wild that we didn't even attempt to run the ball. It's one thing for the run game to be ineffective, but it's another to not even try. I'm not sure there was a game plan if Ole Miss kept dropping 8 in coverage and we decide to keep throwing anyway.

Struggling like we are on offense we need to figure something out to get creative. If our offensive line is this bad then get gimmicky put someone in to run a wildcat type package for a series or situational. I mean it can’t be any worse than what we have been doing. We need a spark. Instead of running quick 2 yard throws to the sideline or behind the line of scrimmage if you’re worried about Nuss having time, run some quick slants and timing routes. Anything! Put an extra blocker in and get in the I formation and run a little. Anything, but doing the same thing over and over that isn’t working and expecting a different outcome.
