Absolutely no reason for Sloan to be OC at LSU

He is mediocre at best. If BK can’t hire a better OC he either is unable to recognize and hire talent and/or no competent OC wants to work for him

No OC will do better with Nuss at QB.

Maybe not, but no doubt any OC would be worse with Nuss as QB.

T-Bob insinuated last night that Denbrock was forced out in favor of Sloan. Has this been discussed?

This make since now ! Wasn’t no reason for Denbrock to leave .

Wasn’t Sloan mainly retained by Kelly over Denbrock because he was supposedly the coach who could deliver the Michigan qb? How did that work out for LSU?

Totally agree. The history here is important. Recall that Sloan got lots of props for JD5 growth between years one and two. That's first. Second, and what many forget is that Sloan was thought to be linchpin in getting Bryce Underwood here so when Denbrock left, BK may have felt he had to give OC to Sloan or he'd leave which would mean losing Underwood. Someone please correct me if I've got any of the timing on this wrong.

I’ve never heard he was forced out, now maybe we didn’t exactly fight to keep him but that just seemed like an older coach that wanted to be back closer to home.
