Going to be a few more years of this trash due to the ridiculous contract. You then need to give a new guy a year or two to fix it.

LSU is not a brand. It’s a curiosity. Not much chance of it happening before the electronic prison doors are closed.

Absolutely, but how many more years does he stay here? My guess in the OP is at least 3 more. We are stuck with this for a while longer.

Since BK got here, LSU has been preseason top 10 every year. LSU has not finished in the top 10 yet and are on their way to being unranked by the end of this year. As long as Kelly is here, 9-3 regular season is as good as it will get. With the schedule LSU has next year, 8-4 will probably be his absolute max. Long answer to say that as long as Kelly is here, disappointment will be the norm.

it might be a while honestly. This was the year for coach BK despite losing the entire offensive line. Really last year should have been the year but the defense was too bad and the offense was pretty mid despite the veteran OL. I dont really think he is going to be able to put together a championship team, hes way too reliant on his coordinators

Best we can do is hope Kelly keeps the floor high for a couple of years and Woodward gets the next hire right.

That’s my hope. It’s the best we can get with Kelly as coach. If he can keep us between 7-9 wins on average for the next coach. I think this is probably about right for Kelly. The talent will be enough to win at this level, but the coaching won’t be enough to win double digits or make the playoffs.

If Kelly had balls and fired Brad Davis and benched Nuss, this team could do some things this season. But he doesn’t so it’s going to sabotage this team just like not firing House in 2023 after the Ole Miss game. Kelly is stubborn moron.
