Let’s clear a few things up

1. To the “we only need to score more than 10 pts crowd” — hope you are enjoy your crow. Same don’t know ball head-arse goobers who defended Miles to the end.
2. Just as people were never upset about being 4-0, people are not upset about a road loss to ole miss on its face — they are upset with a HC who has had a glaringly putrid bottom-of-the league unit on every team he has fielded.
Our roster management has been pretty good, they have handled NIL well enough — but between Raymond, Baker (go away, come back!), House, Sloan, and Brad Davis… Kelly seems to just be taking shots in the dark at assistants & doesn’t know how to identify a good one, sans results out of context or what the media thinks of them at a given time (much like CEO evaluating recruits).
The guy just does not have the sauce. Elite coaches don’t field a historically bad offense and historically bad defense over a span of 4 years.
Bad as we played, there is still a chance to win that game last night if you come with packages ready for MVB just to add something else for the defense to account for — didn’t take a snap.
Denied that there was an issue with the offense after UF. This guy is Les Miles lite.
Wondering how long after this year we have to suffer a lame duck over this ridiculous contract.

3-5 years would be my guess.
$10mm/yr is a lot of money to pay out fir multiple years for nothing. Then there’s the expense of hiring a new coach and staff.

A whiff at a pivotal time. Got a moron steering the ship into a new college football landscape.

Having an offense look as it has all year in season 4 is inexcusable. It was not just yesterday, it has been all year and not a scintilla of evidence that BK is addressing the problems.

Exactly. Has nothing to do with W-L record, it’s the fact there is no excuse to be as bad as we have been on one side of the ball TWICE.

As Hanny said in the post game, this felt like a 25 point loss instead of 5.
1/2 touchdowns was literally an accident.
We ran for 57 yards on a team giving up 150+
They almost doubled us in number of offensive plays ran

This x1000 and he's unlikable. You don't get any extra leeway when you're a dick

We have a front office for that now. I assume we will keep them in place when we move on from this coaching staff

Kelly will never field a complete team. It’s abundantly clear.

It’s all on Scott Woodward.
I mean… he understood what was needed in baseball. A young mid 40’s, workaholic, that lived, breathed, and drinks baseball 24/7.
But… he hires a 60+ retread for a football coach???? WTF man!
You don’t go and hire a man in his 60’s and give him a guaranteed 10 year contract. Period. End of story.

Rant was right again & all the self-serious sunshine pumpers will wake up soon.
If not for JJ, Woodward would be in hot water here.

This.
This isn’t a job for Brian Kelly at this point; it’s his retirement plan. We can criticize all we want, he doesn’t give a shite what product he puts out there. He’s bulletproof.

And that’s on Woodward.
Fanbase never wanted Kelly it has been copium since day one.
Missing the playoffs with JD will be his legacy.

After all these years of coaching football, and spending 18 million dollars on a lineup this year, this is the culmination of what BK thinks is winning football. He learned a new word this offseason that he repeats over and over, thinking that it makes him seem smart. Just the opposite though, it reveals just what an empty suit football coach he actually is. This guy is a fraud through and through. I am amazed that he is actually this bad. I didn't think much of him pre hire, but I was willing to be proved wrong. Well, I was right and every game he proves just how much a fraud he actually is. If he had any self respect, he would retire after this season. I'm not holding my breath.
Very sad state of affairs for our vaunted football program. We are entering our second Hallman era.

That's not true. It was almost unanimously upvoted on here when he was hired.
It just seems like his best years are behind him. He did a great job turning us back into a consistent winner again, but he is not getting us over the top it seems and doesn't like the deserved criticism for his pathetic offense.

Memory holing the short-live love affair with Lincoln Riley.

The only issue I have is the non-stop hyperbole and the few that are gleefully crowing "I told you so" all over the board.

Kelly has a long career track record of hiring assistants. He has had good and bad hires, like most coaches. Raymond and Baker were good hires; their not being retained when O was fired is understandable. I kind of wish we had not retained Davis but he is a very good recruiter.
quote:
much like CEO evaluating recruits
CEO was pretty good at recruiting and I think at evaluating individual recruits, but I think he lacked awareness regarding roster management so, like a kid in a toy store, often pursued the shiny objects vs what he needed. So we had some high-end recruits in excess in some areas and lacked talent in others. He needed to be pointed at recruits rather than picking out who to recruit.
