You don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

I don’t want to let anyone off the hook, because a lot of the players played like arse, the medical team is horrific, and I think they need to clean house on the coaching staff

But my god what a stat

Don't fall for the "but we wuz injured" narrative. Yeah, they'd have been better and likely make the playoffs if not for all the injuries. Don't forget we were in playoff position and...

We got Pena back

We added Carlos Correa

We added Jesus Sanchez

We got Yordan back

We got Jake back

And our offense was still a disaster that was largely the cause of the face plant that kept us out if the playoffs. I'm not accepting injuries as an excuse to avoid accountability.

Never forget that glorious 8 game span in August where we went 2-6, scoring a grand total of 3 runs in the 6 losses and being shutout 4 times.

I would expect some rumors to begin shortly in regards to some changes.

Looking forward to watching teams that belong in the playoffs

Then the Winter Meetings where teams make long term bad investments

Problem is, I don’t trust this regime to make the right ones. Happy as I was to see Dusty leave, they made a lazy hire to replace him. Then they hired a GM and neutered him by giving him very little power other than scouting.

It’s amazing as both an LSU and Astros fan to see the lack of proactivity and lack of vision by both organizations. And the funny thing is, in both cases it’s offensive ineptitude. And also in both cases, I think the approach is the issue rather than personnel. (Sure the OL is bad, but we don’t do anything to try and scheme around it)

I agree every team has injuries, maybe not as many as the Astros had this year - and to key players.

I'm not sure how to explain it. Astros got off to a good start. But it looked like other teams eventually started playing better - Seattle, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, the Athletics even.

Our pitchers, who were surprisingly good early on, were now giving up big hits. Hader got hurt. Framber went into a funk. Blanco and Arrighetti hurt.

Altuve is declining. Jake is a singles hitter. Diaz is Diaz - just so-so. Cam wasn't ready. Walker strikes out too much.

Just a few of my observations. Lots of work to do in the off-season, I guess.

Only if Snitker stays with him. Anyone connected to "coaching" hitting in this organization probably needs to be canned.

Not exactly an endorsing word of confidence. But a whole lot of pointing to injuries.

Nightengale is typically non sense.

Any of yall even watching this one? Its the last game, I'll miss baseball. But irs an irrelevant game. Its a lineup full of backups. Meh. I don't much care.
