While this is getting old and too common, it is something that makes college football better than the NFL. I just found out today that it’s now a 500k fine up from 100k. I was telling my buddy how we need to communicate to fans that the 100k fine is the equivalent to losing a 4 star but in actuality it’s now a 5 star. Is there any way we can get tiger fans to realize this and save the field storming for Bama, Georgia, and Texas level teams. It’s such a shitty new rule and it hurts the underdogs like Miss St, Vandy and Kentucky get hurt way more

What is wrong with storming the field? Let the kids have fun. The fines are stupid. Life is too short to be confined to hitting the ramp right after knocking off a top 10 team.

That’s what I’m saying. I think it shouldn’t be a fine at all.

Reminded me of Tennessee game in 2000.

Which, also doesn’t get enough respect for one of the top games in Tiger Stadium history.

Bama? Post-Saban not even worth it.

Georgia? Maybe. Possibly

Texas? Don't even give them the status. They are still second rate lesSEC

Storming the field was cool before smartphones existed but now that it's all kids trying to film viral tiktoks, it's not cool anymore

500k is probably what the UVA Endowment makes in an hour when the market is open.

And all those future doctors, lawyers, congressmen and hedge fund managers aren’t going to hurt anyone.

Mostly agree but tonight seemed like a legit time to do so.

Don’t follow UVA closely but I assume it’s been a while since they’ve beat a top 10 team. Storming the field is made for games like tonight. Not LSU beating Ole Miss or some shite.

I did it for Florida ‘97. That was a while back. Wouldn’t be doing it anymore.
The one thing I did see was that receiver and defensive back didn’t even finish falling before they had kids run over them. Its player safety at that point.

Yea I’m an advocate for storming the field for instances like tonight. Underdog, night game, game comes down to a final play etc. it ticked all the boxes. In terms of LSU this year will wont be an underdog at home anytime this year, half will probably not be a night game and the outcome coming down to the final play is rare.

The Virginia field storm tonight was so awesome to see. The moment he dropped the ball in end zone they let loose like a wall of water.

The sec delivers the worst fine. Which is dumb and got worse due to little nicky's complaints.

You and your buddy keep brainstorming. I'm sure y'all will come up with something to keep fans from storming the field

It’s a fine because it’s dangerous, moron.

Woah, hit a nerve. Well since I’m such a moron I guess you can help me find an incident where one player has gotten hurt. It’s unfortunate they are around that danger from a field storm when playing such a non-dangerous game of football. Honestly we should probably get rid of the Victory Walk and ban them from Tiger Land why we are at it. Hell, no driving either.
