Why doesn’t Nuss run like Chandler Morris?

Because he is not as athletic as Morris.

He ran 15 yards in open field last week and he was celebrating like he won the Olympic gold medal in 100 meter.

He has run more in the first 4 games of this season than all of last year.

With the lingering injuries, he needs to limit the running to where it will be most effective. But he’s shown that he can do it with the runs he’s had so far this season. If he can pick the right moments and pick up first downs and easy yards when he does, it will still make the defense take notice.

It was 26. Longest of his career.
I just know because the On3 guys mentioned it in one of their podcasts.

This isn't a knock personally on Nuss, but I've seen enough football in this era to never again recruit a pocket passer. There is so much pressure on a defense to defend a legitimate running threat. A QB doesn't need to be Lamar Jackson by any means. But, simply having the ability to get to the edge or tuck and run to consistently move the chains greatly enhances touchdowns because it continues drives. Plus, it gives you an additional threat inside the red zone.
In this day, that running ability is essential. The days of Bernie Kozar type QB's are over, at least at the college level. Let me know if I'm missing something.

I love the guy, but sorry to say, that celebration moment was cringy.
Open field against an FCS school. Woopity-woo!

For some reason this board thinks that Nuss is faster and way more athletic than he actually is

I didn't think of it as much as him celebrating as him laughing at the absurdity of him cutting inbounds and busting such a long run.

Why doesn’t he run like Haynes King?

These fricking idiots on here have no clue.
1. He was a first year starter last season without a legit back-up.
2, As you mentioned, he has had a lingering knee injury since he has been here that has bothered him. It’ll require surgery to repair. He has chosen to not repair it at this point. I’m not sure what that recovery looks like.
3. As much as people gripe about the RBs not being able to run, add the QB when talking designed run. His capabilities are limited but it doesn’t mean he can’t.

A brain. What you’re saying is a QB that can manipulate the pocket can’t win. So Brady or Manning in college today wouldn’t be great? That’s complete and utter bull shite. It is about run scheme and play action. That won’t change - EVER.
