If everyone wants to keep losing a bunch of money then have at it.

Surrender. Their affiliates heard from their advertisers.

Jimmy Kimmel is back because of people canceling their streaming subscriptions.

By this time next week everyone, including the left and the advertisers, will be back to not giving a frick about Kimmel. His ratings have been shite for a long time and his show has been in the red for years. His days are numbered.

I was told trump was ending free speech, Kimmel would be in a camp soon, and 3 day suspensions were worse than being shot in the neck and murdered

This is looking more and more like it was orchestrated from the start

The story of Jimmy Kimmel will be an interesting one to look back on. When he started his show in 2003, the Tonight Show was still king, and just a decade after the great Letterman/Leno battle that eventually lead to the creation of the Late Late Show. Then for reasons I will never understand, Kimmel decided to COMPLETELY draw a political division around 2017 as did Colbert. Next thing you know, they're getting beat in the ratings by Gutfeld.. a show on CABLE.
Now ABC will have to drag Kimmel's corpse around for as long as HE decides he wants to stay. And they will be curbstomped in viewership.
Ultimately it's a big op for somebody to come in and pick up the mantle. I don't think Late Night is dead forever. The model is probably still viable if you're not a fricking retard and come up with ways to try to have mass appeal.

Spending on late-night programming across ABC, CBS, and NBC fell to $221 million in 2024, a sharp decrease from $439 million in 2018, Business Insider reported, citing Guideline, a firm that tracks media-buying data
You can't tell me ABC isn't losing money on Kimmel.
I'm guessing Sinclair caved because they're already obligated to pay programming fees for Kimmel's show, whether they choose to preempt it with other programming or not. And if they preempt it, then they have to pay the cost of whatever alternate programming they put in that slot.
Guess it was false hope that Sinclair and Nexstar would keep Kimmel off their channels and put pressure on Disney to remove him if 1/4 of their local affiliates were refusing to air his show.

But DJT had him fired and used the FCC to end his career,...oh wait none of that ever happened.

It's almost like the leftist narrative was wrong from the start. Amazing.

ABC threatened to pull sec football off of the air if they kept Jimmy off their stations

So, wait, Trump isn't a tyrant after all and hasn't set his FCC upon his political enemies?

It took Charlie's assassination and used it to take Charlie's assassination off the front page of the MSM.
