I'm hearing good things about Xotic SL Drive, catalinabread DLS and wampler plexi Drive. Any first hand experiences? Thanx in advance...

I have a DLS MK 3, and it will get you most of the way there. I have not actually used it in quite some time since I have a JEL20. There's a million demos you can find on youtube of it.

I really like my EHX Glove. It’s been on my pedal board as my primary drive tone for years now.

I have a Lovepedal JTM... it nudges my Vox, Supro, Bad Cat and Morgan RCA 35 amps into sounding very Marshall-like (though most of them are in that general ballpark, anyway).
I have the Tech 21 Liverpool (Vox) and Blonde (Fender) Character pedals, and they are great, especially if you have to play through a PA or in some situation where you can't use an amp and speaker... they have speaker simulation built in, later models let you bypass that... They have a Marshall pedal (can't remember the name... British Steel, maybe) but I have a Sovtek Mig 50 and a couple of other amps that are basically Marshalls if I really need that full on sound, which is not that often...
