I am convinced, brad davis needs to be let go.

OL Cant block, no discipline, trips over their own feet, that was pathetic to watch. SLU's Number 40 was getting through unblocked on almost every possession

Nice. We can fire coaches a year too late for a playoff run. Again.

I’m not convinced OL would be better with a different OL coach.

Maybe we move Alex Atkins to full time OL Coach next year.

Its the scheme. Couldn't run block with 4 NFL lineman last year.

Bingo

The root of the issue is our predictability which falls on offensive scheme.

We run the ball 100/100 times when we motion anyone into the box.
This goes into last year too.

it's not a bad idea since it gives you an easier block for WR's on paper.

The problem is there are two people in the backfield and only 1 is a threat to run the ball.

You can key in all 11 defenders on our RB. The worst-case scenario for the defense is Nuss tucks and runs for 8-10 yards.

Don’t we have an analyst on staff who understands what’s going on? Can they go outside of the organisation to get some help mid season? Find an individual who’s qualified, send him some film, and be open to suggestions.

Our OL has been trash since Kelly has been here. Jayden masked A LOT of issues, just like he did with the Skins dog shite Oline last year outside of Cosmi. One of the worst olines in the NFL turned into a top 10-15 oline because of Jayden. They added some good pieces this year on the Skins though with Conerly and Tunsil. And two of the other starters from last season were benched this season already that’s how much lift Jayden gave that mediocre oline. They turned into a top 10 oline in pass and run block win rate.

We were able to run for 328 vs Florida in 2021 with Brad Davis as OL coach.

Pittman should be available soon.

It’s as if LSU’s O-line just practices half speed against the scout team defense that’s in perfect position to be blocked and once they get in the game, they quickly find out it’s a lot different.

We did have 2 true freshman starting in 2022, so had to do a little bit of rebuilding.

I’d like to think we’re on the right track with the 3 studs we signed in 2025

But oline and TEs are supposed to be Kelly’s speciality.

If the RBs aren't hitting the right hole/alley, then the O-line will look bad. Commentators showed several examples of LSU RBs trying to go outside instead of hitting the hole. So the RBs coach shares the blame for a poor ground game.

What about the talent we had last year?

Makes you wonder what CBK does in the offseason to improve his team.

Baker will be gone for next season as he's already built his resume to be a HC somewhere. I think he'll be a solid head coach wherever he lands.

And Todd Grantham was fired that year. That same defense gave up 42 in a half to Samford.

Why is that? He played LB & was a defensive coach until he became a HC.

I guess he’s evolved more to an offensive mind over the last 30 years

There are holes. Durham doesn't follow play design more than you'd like. If he'd hit the holes as designed he'd get thru.

I see this all the time but nobody can pin point what the issue is with the scheme. Just that scheme is bad and we should do something else. Well the scheme is the same as 99% of college football that don't run some form of triple option. Let's see what we look like when Nuss isn't limited and we are playing conservative on purpose. When Nuss is allowed to let it rip downfield it should even out the numbers in the run game. Florida just used 7 fitters against our 6 blockers. You aren't gonna run the ball on that. You have to take advantage like we did hitting Sharp down the middle of the field.
