Didn’t know that.

What’s wrong with teaching them pro American and pro Family values? Seems like high school is the best place to start. They are certainly teaching DEI bullshite in every school, might as well tell them the truth

If there's a chapter on every campus, great.
Mandating it is the problem.

Mandating that is wrong. I’m all for students having the option to join it but mandating that they have the chapter at every high school is obviously not right.

Yeah, education is a bit much, in a high school no less

In Escambia County Florida 1979 you needed credit to graduate in AVC. Americanism vs Communism.
We turned out OK lol

I’m all for the sentiment, but if this is true —while innocuous—it is actually closer to “literal fascism” (structurally) than anything the leftkooks have alleged re: TPUSA.
Eta: To the 11 downvoters: do you know that the original hallmark of a fascist system was the state ruling through private organizations? The state requiring a private organization on its campuses is in keeping with that structure.
If you think I’m calling TPUSA fascist then I don’t know what to tell you. You’ve lost the plot, as they say.
Eta2: I was obviously commenting based on the OP’s title. I was working and did not click on any article or research further. If OP needs to change the title then please do.
Saw this scrolling through just now:

OP needs to edit the title. He never said anything about it being required. That is clearly the most important detail.

This is dumb and actually sabotages TPUSA. It sounds crazy, but the organization and being a Republican is counterculture, especially in a public school. Being endorsed and pushed by jackass politicians removes some of the mystique and rebelliousness of forming a chapter and/or joining.

Oklahoma is the only state where President Trump carried every county. Something like 79 out of 79.
Funny thing is, I've interacted with a bunch of lefties from Oklahoma ever since I've been on the internet. Mostly sports boards, so I have a strong hunch that it has something to do with the influence of a certain school located in Norman, Oklahoma.

Having a chapter sponsored and having people join is two different things. Access is there if they want it

I like TP but this should come from the students or not at all.

Not sure that's how it's supposed to work.

OP is overreacting.
quote:
Walters said in his press release that students who are interested in starting a chapter at their high school will need at least three students from the same school and will have to complete the official “Chapter Charter Agreement.”
“From there, TPUSA will help chapters gain official recognition or registration from their school, connect student leaders with a dedicated field representative to serve as a liaison between the school and TPUSA, assist in securing a teacher sponsor, and provide sample constitutions and bylaws where required by school policy,” the press release reads.
“Chapters will also receive valuable benefits, including an Activism Kit filled with pins, pocket Constitutions, handbooks, and other materials; access to leadership positions and exclusive event ideas to grow their impact; and ongoing guidance and mentorship to ensure student leaders succeed in building a strong campus presence.”

Article in "The Right Scoop". It didn't sound like it was going to be mandatory.

California will require every high school to have an ANTIFA and NAMBLA chapter
