I think that was more to get Grupe’s confidence back.

They have the least talented roster in the NFL and it’s been written by many. No WR1, RG, no pass rush besides Granderson, no defensive backfield. You are witnessing a bad team play a bad game in all 3 phases.

Both Rashid Shaheed and Olave(when healthy) are good capable wide receivers. Shaheed is explosive with the ball in his hands, if he were with a team like KC and Mahomes he'd be another breakout star for them. They have good RBs with Kamara, Miller, and Neal, but I don't see them being used in any type of good offensive type of scheme to get them going. Defensively, you just don't drop like that, but I look at those guys and I see no one playing hard, really.

Rasheed and Olave are middle of the pack NFL receivers but neither are a WR1. But honestly the Saints wouldn’t use a WR1 to create any big plays anyway. The average pass probably travels 8-10 yards in the air.
They lost their two best defenders in Lattimore and Adebo last year and the return won’t be nearly the original investment. Just bad everywhere. Gonna take a while to build it back, thanks Mick!!

A lot on here shite on Carr, but he made him look good. Carr threw a very good deep ball and helped unlock Shaheed.
He’s almost worthless with Rattker right now.

Saved me from typing the same thing. Olave and Sheed didn't forget how to play ball or get open. Carr had almost the same cast, and could threaten teams anywhere on the field. Rattler is no threat to an NFL defense.
