Stadium seat backs - rant

Why did they spend money replacing the cushioned seat backs with less comfortable mesh seat backs? I hate them. End rant.

We’ve had season tickets for years now but I don’t go to games much. Give them to friends/family. We sit in the S endzone and the seatbacks now are tiny and if the person in front of you leans back their seat is hitting you in the knees. It really made me not want to go to another game because we were so squished and uncomfortable.

Mesh back are elite. Cushioned seats forced you into sitting at a 90 degree angle. No give.

They are horrendous. I'm not renewing my tickets after this year for a few reasons, but one of them is how uncomfortable I am in the stadium because of those seat backs, and I'm a skinny 165lb man. I can't imagine how uncomfortable they are for the average obese fan. LSU really shite the bed when they switched to these.

Then dont buy them. They are optional on your season ticket renewals. Also "they" is the 3rd party vendor that sells them all across the country. LSU does not select these.
If you want to bitch then do it to the company that handles them.

The problem with them is if you actually put any pressure on the seat back then you are crushing the knees of the person behind you because it leans too far back. I'm considerate, I've sat behind people that just lean all the way back and you have literally no leg room.

The real answer here is go to all chairback seats and reduce the capacity of the stadium

I just bring a cushion with no back that spreads across my three seats. Helps designate my space. Insulates me from the cold late in the year.

They are absolutely terrible. I include that every week in the survey they send out and have told the “company” several times. This will be my last year getting them. I’ll start bringing my own.
