Are you guys marinating your chicken and pork in anything before cooking your jambalaya?
I never have and saw some tik toks and videos of people doing it. If you do, what are you marinating with?

Post these. Is it real jambalaya or just some goof looking for clicks?
I do not ever marinate any meats I use.

Just another stupid example of people trying to “be better” or find that “secret ingredient”.
There is no reason to marinate your meat.
But…if you like it, go for it.

It won’t brown down near as well if marinated.

nope
I do like to season a day before and let it sit in the fridge though

For chicken, I just cook a whole pack of bacon in the pot, then remove and eat. The bacon grease browns the chicken very well.

I'm sure you buy pre-marinated to go with your pre-cut veg

As always, your discussion about food on the food board is amazing.

Thats what I was thinking but wanted others opinions. I've never done it so didnt know if it would actually be worth it.

This is the way I do it. Always start with a pack of bacon.

Chicken Thighs, Green Onion Smoked Sausage, Andouille and Tasso. Never have marinated.
BBQ, yes, season overnight. Fajita Steak yes, overnight.
Frying fish, overnight.

I never marinate it. I tossed my pork in that Cajun Power Garlic Sauce once but didn't really notice any difference in taste.

I have marinated chicken in Dale's before. I only let it sit for an hour or so though. I cut my salt to compensate.
It came out good. I wouldnt do it overnight or anything, not in Dale's anyways.

A dry brine with salt + boullion powder is very underrated.
