LSU will 100% go after a transfer QB to compete for the starting job in 26 and possibly 27. They are not rolling with MVB, Hurley and a possible 26 HS flip only.

I think they need to meet the following criteria (you may disagree):

Has started at least a few P4 games.

Has 2 years of eligibility left (I can understand people thinking only 1 year is necessary)

Has some dual threat ability.

Who are you eyeing going forward this season as a possible transfer target?

Mensah reportedly got a 2 year, $8 million deal to leave Tulane for Duke, Sagapolutele is better and will get attention from more prominent programs. Dude is going to get a lot of money to play ball next year.

Really, there is no way of knowing who all will hit the portal. There are entrenched starters at Power schools that will transfer, chasing the $.

The aforementioned Cal kid, Ohio St has a kid we recruited out of hs behind Sayin, who has at least 1 more year, Alabama has Russell if he doesnt want to wait and Simpson if they force him out. A myriad of others will either get impatient or raise their stock. Have to see enters and whos worth paying big bucks for. Could literally be any qb in America. We're just hoping to strike magic again.

Hard to tell.

You can either go for a high riser at a small school or a reclamation project

Were also so early in the season we’re still judging games against Colgate and Western Carolina

Lagway, Cal kid, Nico.

Those will be the three hot names in the portal. Cal kid is my #1, but I would 100% take Lagway if he becomes available. Kid is incredibly talented.

Don't your qualifications describe our current back up? May want to adjust or expand upon experience etc

Yea he already knows how to throw dimes to LSU players already so he’s definitely a take.

Aaron Philo- Ga tech
High School: Prince Avenue Christian School
Location: Bogart, Georgia
Team: Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines (football)
Graduation Year: 2024
Accomplishments:
Set the Georgia state record for all-time passing yards.
Tied the Georgia state record for most passing touchdowns in a single season.
Led his team to two state championships.
Dude has filled in exceptionally for Haynes King. Considered the more complete passer. Is set to be the man after this season, but you do your due diligence

If there was any chance that Shane Beamer goes to Virginia Tech after USCe goes 6-6 this year, i would 1 million percent want Sellers.

People can say what they want, but i know heisman talent when i see it. He is the perfect QB for the modern game. His passing needs some touching up, but he has definitely improved this year from last.

Our run game would be straight filthy and our passing game would be good too.

Shane would be insane to go to VaTech. I know his daddy coached there but VaTech is a dead program. In state talent raided by all the major programs around it and its crushed in NiL by UVA.
Its a money game now and thats a broke arse school.

Bunchie. I think they could target a backup stuck behind a starter that would return to school next year, like burrow.
