PBS and O Linemen

With the signing of Ainsworth we now have three offensive linemen from Parkview Baptist (although Hitt was signed as a DL). You have to think if you live in BR and have a son that's has o line potential you need to send him to PBS and let Kenny Guillot coach him!

i went to a rival PBS school the joke used to be that kenny guillot gave his boys steroids...which i know he would never have done but funny to think...

Kenny Guillot scares me, which is quite an accomplishment for a man who has a malfunctioning voicebox and less than six feet tall.

I am a Parkview alumn, and I can tell you that we have one of the best, if not the best, coach in Baton Rouge. He knows how to discipline his players extremely well and prepares them to be incredible athletes. You would be incredibly impressed at one of their practices.

It's 4 if you include Max Holmes. Although he never really played, and transferred recently.
It's been 4 OL type players from PBS in recent years.

You may want to lighten up on the cracks about the voicebox considering it's the result of a stroke he had 20 years ago. No one gets more out of his talent than Guillot and Parkview will always be a factor in Class 3A as long as he's around.

Coach Guillot was the best coach I ever played for. He knew way back in those days (30yrs ago) how to teach technique better than any coach I ever met. He was always learning and always teaching. I learned to trust what he said and taught. He is the only coach that I would have run through a brick wall if he told me to. He was a coach I could trust. If he said do something I knew it was for my own good. He is one hell of a man and coach. Parkview is lucky to have Kenny Guillot!!!

What we need is for the Four and Five star skill players to go to Parkview so we can keep them at LSU, and they will be well prepared to play football and succeed at the College level in the class room.
I know they (Coach Guillot) won't recruit but if you have a cousin, nephew or kid who wants to learn the game, and even better if he happens to be a big recruit, get them to just meet him and see the facilities. Give them a chance. Talk to Beckwith or some of the former players, or college coaches. I have never heard anything but praise.
Hell, he might like running throwing or catching behind the huge lineman and it is a great high school atmosphere.
If they had just a few more skilled players they would be unbeatable.

you wont see many skill players on o come out of parkview. the o isnt built for that. its no surprise parkview keeps putting out olinemen for LSU. its nice to see LSU getting kids from parkview now. id say in the 20 plus years parkview has gotten pretty big now.

Where do you guys see Dileo going next year? He seems like one of the better skill players they have produced recently. Is there a shot the goes to an SEC/C-USA level school, or do you think that he will go to a program like La Tech/McNeese/ULL?

McNeese State maybe? Not sure where does he want to go? I am sure LSU will ofer him a grey shirt if he wants it.

I am not sure, but I believe recruiting is frowned upon in the LHSAA. Just saying

That's why he said Kenny G does not recruit, dumbass, in the form of paying their tuition to go to school there. You can ask a good player if they want to go to a certain private school, but you can't pay for them to go there. Unlike a few private schools that do.
Redemptorist to be one. But it doesn't really matter. It only costs like 12 bucks to go to school there.

Riiiiight.
Let's go with that theory.

you dont have to recruit to get good players at good programs like PBS and RHS, they usually come on their own

Why don't you finish reading my post, you post-chopping Jap!
I said he recruits in the form of asking people to play there. But he doesn't PAY for them to go to school at PBS. You can ask someone to play for you, you just can't pay for them to play for you.
Did you get all of that?

Those programs weren't always "good." As a matter of fact, I believe PBS didn't even sniff good until about the late 90's. My comment was more about the fact that the guy making the comment sounded like a booster begging for people to bring their 4 and 5 star athletes to PBS. Sorry if I offended. And thank you for the dumbass comment. Always nice to know who the really polite people are on the board.

wow. You get offended and overreact very easily. I don't recall my first post even being directed toward you. Enjoy your night.

But your second one was.
Goodnight, post-chopping Jap!
