No weapons, but he "forced two employees into the corner".

quote:

WFTV 9 shared new details from a report released by the sheriff’s office. The man apparently swam up to Paddlefish, which is a restaurant housed in a building shaped like a steamboat at Disney Springs. He found a place to store his wetsuit and scuba gear before entering the manager’s office, where two employees were counting cash from the day to place in a safe.

The report is redacted, but the man forced the employees to go into a corner of the room and close their eyes. According to WFTV 9’s sources, he also tied up the employees.

He then stole between $10,000 and $20,000. According to the employees, he left within two minutes. They called 911 after freeing themselves. Neither were hurt, and the burglar did not brandish any weapons.

Investigators believe the man then put on his scuba gear and jumped back into the Disney Springs lake. He was not found after an immediate search.

They probably paid him to do that to them.

10K+ on a Sunday night? props to guy on choice of target
in and out in 2 mins? got to be inside operation

I would assume that having that much cash on hand would not be common for a restaurant in 2025

Definitely a former employee and definitely breaking one stereotype. Look at that left wrist.

It's Disney Springs. That whole area is packed with tourists every night of the week.

Paddlefish prints money. It was called Fulton’s Crabhouse at a point, and it was one of the top grossing restaurants in the country at the time!
